Monitor with VPN. Error: connect ETIMEDOUT

Hello all,

I am trying to run a monitor collection. If I run the collection it works without any error. I have to be connected to a VPN. The issue is that when the monitor is run, some errors appears:

Error: connect ETIMEDOUT 10.167.44.70:80
9:13:38 Failed: Status code is 200
9:13:38 expected { Object (id, _details, …) } to have property ‘code’
9:13:38 Failed: response should be okay to process
9:13:38 expected { Object (id, _details, …) } to have property ‘code’
9:13:38 Failed: response must be valid and have a body
9:13:38 expected response to have status reason ‘OK’ but got ‘UNDEFINED’

Is it possible to execute the monitor with a VPN?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Alfredo,

The logs indicate that the monitoring agent (the VM that’s actually running your monitor) is unable to contact the IP you’re trying to get in touch with. Again, this is most likely because of access restrictions to that IP (the VPN, in this case).

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to run a monitor within a VPN at this moment. Monitors run on the Postman cloud and require that the URL being hit be publicly accessible.

Cheers,
Vivek
