Postman crashes whole Gnome session on startup (Linux/Debian)

I’ve seen several instances recently where I have started Postman and immediately been logged out of Gnome and left on the login screen. It appears that starting Postman causes my Gnome session to crash or be killed.

I noticed today that this corresponded with postman updating itself. I have a log.txt in /opt/
Postman and this contains the following lines from when I started postman:

2019/10/01 09:40:49:030 Postman-1569854913870 Swapping the old app with new one
2019/10/01 09:40:49:034 Postman-1569854913870 Swapping done
2019/10/01 09:40:49:043 Postman-1569854913870 Parent process is alive, killing it now

Is it possible that postman is accidentally killing Gnome/Wayland instead of the old app?

Is anyone else seeing this?

I’m running Postman v7.8.0 (now) on Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster). uname -a:
Linux hostname 4.19.0-6-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.19.67-2+deb10u1 (2019-09-20) x86_64 GNU/Linux
