I’ve encountered an issue recently, and I’m not sure if it’s related to the operating system or Postman. This problem occurred when I used two monitors in extended mode. Sometimes, when I minimize the Postman window, I cannot reopen it. I’ve tried clicking the icon on the taskbar, using the shortcut Alt+Tab, and even closing Postman and reopening it, but it’s still not working. The only way to fix this is by unplugging the second monitor or changing the display to one monitor or duplicating it, then reopening Postman, and finally changing the display mode back to extended. However, after a while, the error returns. This is so annoying. Has anyone else experienced the same issue?
I’m using Windows 11 Home version 23H2 (OS build 22631.3155).
Hi, it only happens with Postman, all other apps don’t get the same issue. The error only started occurring about over a month ago, I think some OS updates cause conflicts with Postman.
@orbital-module-saga8 I managed to get around this problem by clicking Postman window active (from toolbar) and then Shift+WindowsKey+Left Arrow Key (seems to be working with Right arrow key also). It is the command to move active window from one screen to another. I don’t know where Postman disappears, but this way I managed to get it back. Doesn’t remove the issue, but atleast I don’t have to relaunch Postman every time I minimize it.
Thank you. Your solution worked. I just tried to reproduce this issue. It seems to occur more often when the Postman window is open on the second monitor (although the first monitor sometimes experiences the issue, but less frequently)
This issue has been fixed and rolled out in our latest release. Please update your Postman applications to continue enjoying a seamless experience working with Postman.
